my story
Gather 'round, Children...
My passion for design has made its way into my life for as long as I can remember. At four, I was instantly intrigued by the bright orange paint on my mom's Nissan Murano. Yes, we owned the original pumpkin-like version. Throughout elementary school, I was drawing everything from cars to ideas for my hockey goaltender's equipment - and also trying to explain why my mom drove a pumpkin.

Early in high school, I had decided that I would become an architect. After three enriching and successful years in my high school's architecture program, I realized the industry wasn't quite what I had pictured. As I saw it, the rapid development of digital design software gave way to a standardized style of "copy-and-paste" architecture. For a sixteen-year-old self-proclaimed architect, this simply would not suffice.

At the same time, I enrolled in a communication studies class. My other option for an elective was theatrical acting, so I need not say more. As I deconstructed various ads and learned the complexities of human thinking, I realized that advertising could be a promising career path. I'm excited to see where it takes me.

I was honored to be accepted into the University of Texas at Austin's top-ranked Moody College of Communication. In the five years I've spent as an advertising major, I have studied everything from psychology to graphic design. In recent years, I've taken on a variety of side jobs - mostly related to web design and branding. I greatly enjoy the challenge of combining visual and rhetorical elements to create truly unique works for my clients that are effective and produce results.

In 2022, I joined Bandolier Media as an art direction/creative strategy intern and quickly made myself known. Agency owner Daniel Stone described me as a "fire starter". I'm consistently producing innovative, engaging, and imaginative ideas - while having the initiative to see them through. Since I started at Bandolier Media, I've done everything from copywriting for Wrangler Jeans to art direction for the world's only spicy coffee brand.

In short, I never grew out of my child-like creativity and imagination. I may have matured, but the excitement of an idea's initial spark still feels the same.
